TVS HLX 150F — Egypt Launch Film
Client: TVS Motor Company
★ 14-foot LED wall shoot | Bangalore studio | Originated for Egypt | Direct-to-client
2024-10
Overview
Avakkai Studio produced a premium launch film for TVS HLX 150F, built specifically for urban Egypt. Shot in a Bangalore studio against a 14-foot LED wall, the mixed-media film combined feature-forward visual storytelling with art-directed in-camera environments. Developed direct-to-client, the brand tagline, look, and premium visual language were originated for the Egyptian market — not localised, but created from the ground up. The result: a bike positioned for performance and presence, styled with premium intent.
Brief
TVS Motor Company, through a direct client engagement, needed a launch film for the HLX 150F in the Egyptian market. The objective was to position the bike as a premium, feature-dense motorcycle for urban riders who demand performance and presence in equal measure. The challenge: create a brand look, feel, and tagline built specifically for urban Egypt — not localised from existing assets, but originated for the market.
The film needed to be less an introduction and more a statement of intent, carrying the weight of a product designed to compete at the premium end of the urban motorcycle segment.
Our Concept & Approach
Avakkai Studio developed the brand identity and the film as one integrated thought from day one. The tagline, the visual language, and the premium positioning were created together, ensuring that what comes through is a bike built for urban Egypt, styled and shot with the same premium intent the product itself demands.
The Core Idea: Mixed media matched to a premium product — clean, feature-forward visual storytelling that lets the bike’s spec sheet read like design rather than data.
Production & Technical Approach:
- 14-Foot LED Wall: A large LED wall in a Bangalore studio allowed the entire environment to be under direct control, with every backdrop, light, and reflection art-directed in-camera
- No Location Moves: The entire shoot was completed in-studio, eliminating the unpredictability of on-location filming while delivering visually rich, varied backdrops
- Mixed Media: The film combined cinematic cinematography with feature-driven storytelling, highlighting the bike’s design and performance attributes
- Direct-to-Client Collaboration: The identity and the film were developed together, ensuring seamless alignment between brand strategy and creative execution
